Founder
Francesca has a passion for human rights, which led to her obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Social Policy. She has volunteered with and supported various NGOs, namely the Women’s Rights Foundation and the Migrant Woman Association. She has also volunteered with the Blue Door English School, where she spent her spare time teaching English to migrants.
Being an avid women’s rights activist, she founded Women for Women – the only facebook group with over 31,000 members, where discussions range from investments to infertility, breaking down of gender stereotypes and the glass ceiling. Francesca is passionate about women’s issues, most especially domestic violence and the struggles faced by single mothers.
The setting up of the Women for Women Foundation and the Women for Women Social Fund are the result of Francesca’s continuous endeavours to help, support and empower women. Francesca believes that helping and empowering mothers to look after their children is the best solution towards ensuring a safe and stable home environment. Working with experts in the field of housing, sociology, and anthropology, she hopes that one day the foundation will be in a position to build affordable purpose-built accommodation for mothers and female pensioners.
Aside of the foundation, Francesca is an IT, retail and online industry veteran, with over 20 years of experience, starting off at Deloitte and Touche IT Consultants, where she managed one of the largest IT Training Centres on the island at the time.
