12 Nov Erika’s Story
Erika is a mother to four children between the ages of 10 and 2. She has always worked reduced hours and all was going well until her husband fell ill and she became the sole breadwinner in their family. With only 34 euro per week of unemployment benefits Erika’s salary which is around 600 euro per month now has to feed, house and clothe six people and also pay for any extra curricular activities or school items for her four children.
Over the past year we have helped Erika with paying for various expenses like water and electricity bills, insurance and license fees for her car to allow her to go to work. We regularly provide food, nappies and detergents because at one point she was unable to send the children to school because she had no detergent to wash their clothes. Your donations will continue to support Erika and her family and other women in a similar situation.
