Erika’s Story

Erika’s Story

Erika is a mother of four children between the ages of 2 and 10. She has always worked reduced hours, and all was going well until her husband fell ill, and she became the sole breadwinner in their family. With only 34 euros per week of unemployment benefits, Erika’s salary, which is around 600 euros per month, now has to feed, house and clothe six people and also pay for any extracurricular activities or school items for her four children.

Over the past year, we have helped Erika pay for various expenses like water and electricity bills, insurance and license fees for her car to allow her to work. We regularly provide food, nappies and detergents because, at one point, she was unable to send the children to school because she had no detergent to wash their clothes. Your donations will continue supporting Erika, her family, and other women in a similar situation.
